Research on Efficiency of Hydraulic Oil Pumping Unit and Characteristics of Gas Accumulator

A hydraulic pumping unit is proposed for the crude petroleum industry. For the high efficiency consideration, the secondary controlled mechanical-hydraulic power transmission is applied in the pumping unit. The efficiency composed of three main transmission parts are analyzed and discussed. The efficiency of gas accumulator as balanced equipment in the process of energy storage and discharge also plays an important role in the overall efficiency of the oil pumping unit and is theoretically and experimentally investigated. When the working frequency of the oil pumping unit is about 0.1 Hz, the efficiency of energy storage and release of accumulator is over 95%. The calculation and analysis to the efficiency of hydraulic system with secondary regulation of the oil pumping unit demonstrates that the efficiency is to some extent higher than that of conventional beam-type pumping unit. Because the speed of hydraulic oil pumping unit can be adjusted according to the rule of the approximate trapezoid curve, and maximum velocity can be adjusted smoothly, the efficiency of the sucker rod pump under the surface can be raised to a large extent.
