Research on Heave Motion Simulation System for Deep-Ocean Mining Production Platform
Heave compensation system(HCS) is one of important device for deep-ocean mining production. Model test is the most effective means to research HCS, and the first work of model test for HCS is to realize the simulation of the heave motion of the deep-ocean floating production platform. In this paper, two kinds of heave motion simulation system(HMSS) are built based on the similar principle. Their work principle is introduced and parameter designed is conducted- These two kinds of HMSS are typical electro-hydraulic proportional valve-control-cylinder hydraulic system controlled by a computer, and can simulation two kinds of heave motion of the sin type and the P-M wave spectrum type. In order to improve the position trace precision, a complex controller is designed. The complex controller is composed of a feedback controller and a feedforward controller. The suitable control strategy for the feedback controller and the feedforward controller are chosen. The mathematic model and the simulation model of HMSS are built. The computer simulation and experiment of HMSS are conducted. The results of the experiment and the computer simulation both shows that the two kinds of HMSS built are feasible and the complex controller is effective. It also shows that the feedfoward controller can evidently improve the simulation precision of HMSS. The research achievement of this paper laid a solid foundation for build the heave compensation model test system.
