Adaptive Control of Water Hydraulic Cylinder System with High Speed On-Off Valve
In this research, water hydraulic cylinder control system was constructed using high-speed on-off valves and two robust controllers were proposed and examined. The high-speed on-off valve can control the flow rate depending on its carrier frequency and duty ratio. The system contains the nonlinear flow characteristics as well asload and/or supply pressure change as uncertainty. Toover come these uncertainties, two control strategies, adisturbance-observer-type 2DOF controller and an adaptive controller, were applied to achieve precise position control. The experimental results showed good tracking performance.
