Modeling and Simulation of Hydraulic System for Automatic Width Control for Vertical Mill

The Precise Width Control of the precise width control of the vertical mill can increase the qualified product rate of the strip, which is the basis for further machining. AWC, that is to say automatic width control, can be explained as follows: Along with the fluctuation of the rolling force, the roller gaps of the edger mill change accordingly, and then the hydraulic system for AWC adjusts the side displacement to compensate the changing. This paper aims at finding out the effect of the hydraulic system for AWC. In other words, firstly it constructs the modeling of the hydraulic system for AWC, and then simulates its dynamic process. Lastly according to the results of simulations, the parameters of the edger mill are chosen suitably
