State Monitoring of the Temper Mills Hydraulic System Based on MCGS

Research on state monitoring and fault diagnostic of hydraulic system has been one of the most active and difficult research problems in the field of hydraulic engineering for years. Its sure that, the research on condition monitoring and faults diagnosis will be of great importance and value of real engineering appliance. For example, it prevents abrupt breakdown of hydraulic system, improves the progress of the reform of maintenance strategies of hydraulic system, and ensures the safety in human being and operation of equipment, the automatic and intelligent state on-line monitoring and fault diagnostic research for hydraulic system.In the beginning, the history, status quo and tend of mechanic faults diagnosis and state monitoring have been treaded synoptically in this paper. Whereafter, the important characters of temper mill and its hydraulic faults have also been analyzed. And with the toolbox of MCGS, an on-line monitoring system, which is used to monitor the parameters of the hydraulic systems working states, has been designed. Finally, an on-line monitoring of the temper mills hydraulic system has been carried out.
