Research on Dynamic Matrix Control in Electro-hydraulic Servo System of Cold Rolling Mill
The cold rolling mill is the typical complicated electro-mechanical system. Since the request to the quality of cold rolling sheet strips is higher and higher, its control system becomes more and more precise and intellective. But the PID control strategy, being comprehensively used in the locale, is difficult to satisfy the request of improving the control precision of the cold rolling mill, because the robust is not very well. Since the 1990s, the intelligent control develops rapidly, which doesnt depend on the precise model of the object. But its application in the practical complicated electro-mechanical system is not very mature. The dynamic matrix control, brought forward by Cutler, is one of predictive control theories. It adopts the non-parameter model based the step response of the controlled object, and doesnt need very precise model. At the same time, the dynamic matrix control is convenient to be calculated on-line and its general control quality is excellent. The dynamic matrix control has succeeded to be applied in the industry field, so it is indispensable and feasible to explore its application in the electro-hydraulic servo system of the cold roiling mill. In this article, the dynamic matrix control was applied in the electro-hydraulic servo system of cold rolling mill, which adopts strategies of the multi-step prediction, the receding-horizon optimization and the feedback correction, and these strategies- made the control system have the strong robust and the intelligent capability. At the same time, the realization strategy of the computer control was provided. The experimental result indicates that its control effect is better than that of the traditional PID control strategy which is comprehensively used in the locale, and adopting control strategies in the article make the dynamic quality of the cold rolling mills electro-hydraulic servo system be improved largely, and the response time and the control precision are improved..
