The CAD Modeling of Meridional Acceleration Fan
The geometry design and machining of blades for meridian acceleration fan are important issues because of blades with complicated twisted profile and flow field. The rapid design of a blade that performs well and satisfies machining requirements is one of the goals in designing fan. This paper establishes the mathematical model for the blade of meridian acceleration fan. By means of this model, the geometric parameters and three-dimensional coordinates of twisted blade can be calculated so that the necessary basis for CAD and numerical control machining of blade is founded. The mode has been applied in the design and making of meridional acceleration fan used for long tunnel ventilation and its feasibility has been verified.
