Automatic Classification of Ore Grade and Geological Assurance in Mineral Resource Assessment Based on Isosurfaces Extraction
The distribution of the ore grade and geological assurance in orebodies are two important factors in mineral resource assessment. The fluctuating cutoff grade directly influences the shape, scale, and quality of an economic orebody. High-quality geological assurance classification based on limited exploration engineerings can increase the accuracy in mineral resource assessment, and even get more resources/reserves. This paper proposed an improved isosurfaces extraction algorithm upon the traditional one. By introducing it into mineral resource assessment, the geological assurance and ore grade were classified automatically in orebodies, and their distributions were simulated effectively in 3D environment.
