Study of Geo-Hazards in Urban Planning Land Suitability Evaluation System Based on GIS
Based on GIS technology, land suitability evaluation in urban planning is an extremely element which confirms land structure and spatial layout systematically. At same time it accelerates the city society, economy and environment evaluation harmoniously and continually. External environmental factors have a significant influence on our study. They are known as PEST (political, economical, social and technical factors). And the integrated environment analysis is named general land suitability evaluation system in this paper. Because of so many and differ in thousands factors, nowadays, we have no a set of integral factors and uniform estimate system. In this paper, the set of estimate factors are considered involving the natural factors, the entironmental factors, the policy factors, and economical factors. So the set of estimate factors is called general land suitability evaluation factor system. In this paper, based on GIS technique, an instance of Xinmi general planning is used to validate the influence caused by geo-hazards to land suitability evaluation, and the loss caused by geo-hazards when disaster happens. From the estimate result, It is believed that the system can direct the city 1 land suitability evaluation and ascertain further general planning strategy distribution.
