Design and Implement of General Histogram System Based on Graphic Device Interface Plus

Geological Histogram is one of the basic maps, which is widely used in departments of mine, petroleum and urban geology and so on. At present, most of histogram systems fail to requirements of professional geological users. To meet the special requirements of professional geology, the author used the object-oriented method to design the system and ADO technology to get the drilling data from Oracle, SQL Server 2000, Access and other database. Also the efficiency of automatic drawing in General Histogram System is improved, which is based on GDI + technology. It has functions which can draw not only the stratigraphic Histogram but also drilling histogram. The applicability of the system is proved higher than others by the actual number data of mining, petroleum, urban geology. It greatly improves the efficiency of Drawing, high precision, easy changes, rich mapping information.
