Using 3D GIS Construct the Digital Mine of Zijinshan Deposit
The digital mine is part of the Digital Earth. In order to build the digital mine of Zijinshan deposit, we have developed a set of GIS based software package named Geo View Mine. In this software, the database, two-dimensional CIS technique , three-dimensional GIS technique and web GIS technique have been integrated. So, it is easy to acquire data using all the standard data collection methods. It also can import survey data and reduce it to data points and strings with 3D coordinates. It can create such 3D models as the 3D digital ore body model, 3D digital structure- stratigraphic framework of the deposit model, and the 3D digital drillhole model. Under these 3D models, the design of underground drives, rises and shafts, declines or inclines, can be undertaken at any gradient, measured by ratio, by angle, or by percentage. Under the 3D model of the ore body, we can estimate the reserve fleetly and accurately. Using mathematical model to simulate, analyze and study all problems of exploration development and management, the software has been used to build the digital mine of Zijinshan deposit successfully, which is a virtual digital object of the famous golden mine of China. It will be very helpful for Zijinshan deposit resource exploitation, underground mine design, reserve calculating et al.
