Application of Catastrophe Theory in the Assessment of Mineral Resources Economy Potential
This paper tried to apply multi-objective catastrophe strategic decision making method to the assessment of mineral resources economy potential of prospect areas. We built a mineral resources economy potential assessing system, and 20 factors related with assessment of mineral resources economy potential are selected, for example: traffic conditions, natural conditions, economic environment, etc. We gave the value of the factors through mathematical calculation method. And then a case is provided to the application of the method. Finally, compared with Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), the advantages and shortcomings of multi-objective catastrophe strategic decision-making method has been discussed.
