Extracting Crystal Chemistrical Information of Chlorite Using Hyperspectral Imaging Data
The mineral spectra is very sensitive to the small variety of the crystal structure or constitutional chemistry, and some crystal chemistry parameters can be retrieved through the fine characteristics of mineral sepctrum. On the basis of fitness result of between chlorite crystal chemistry parameters and spectral characteristcs, the chlorite crystal chemistry parameters are mapped using the HyMap hyperspectral data at Tudun Cu-Ni Deposit in this paper. Research result shows that chlorite crystal chemistry parameters such as Mg octahedra, Mg/Fe and Mg+Fe content have quantitative relationship with spectral characteristics such as absorption depth, symmetry and absorptin area in the spectral range from 2200nm to 2420nm. The Multiple Correlation Coefficients (R2)can be up to 0.95. The aborption depth has the best relationship with the crystal chemistrical parameters, and chlorite crystal chemistry parameters distribution in research area can be mapped on the basis of the quantitative relationship between the spectral characteristics and crystal chemistry parameters. This paper provides a technique of retrieving mineral microinformation using remote sensing data, and also provides technique basis for geological investigation.
