A New Method of Computation RPC Parameters for Satellite Imagery Based on Unbiased Estimator
The rational polynomial camera (RFC) model is a generalized sensor model that is capable of achieving high approximation accuracy. Unfortunately, in almost all previous literature, the estimator of the parameters of the RFC model is biased, and the RFC model is not for SAR Imagery. In this paper, an unbiased RFC estimator is presented. Based on numerous tests, the following conclusion can be drawn. The RFC model is suited not only for push-broom imagery but also for SAR imagery.
