Constrained Fast Independent Component Analysis Applied to Mineral Resources Prediction
Mineral resources are one of the most important factors related to society development. When a novel method, Independent Component Analysis (ICA), which is a statistical method for transforming an observed multidimensional random vector into components that are as independent from each other as possible, is firstly applied to mineral resources prediction, the indeterminacy will let the prediction be difficult. Factor Analysis is introduced to eliminate indeterminacy. In this paper, fast ICA and factor analysis is applied to analyze samples hi gold deposit area of Guangdong province in China. The result shows that some independent elements accord with the practical distribution better than conventional methods.
