Device Performance of Small Molecule OLED Displays with Thin Film Encapsulation
For the first time performance of small molecule light emitting diode (smOLED) displays with thin film encapsulation (TFE) is reported. Displays were prepared using Kodaks new VTE source. Samples were encapsulated using TFE consisting of a multilayer stack of organic and inorganic materials. Efficiency, voltage, lifetime, and aging of the cells were found to be independent of the encapsulation method. Display lifetime is more than 500 h at 60℃/90% relative humidity.
