Smearing Phenomena, Smearing Sources and Smearing Time Measurement of the Moving Picture
Based on the display results of the moving picture, the conceptions and definitions of smearing length and smearing time are discussed in this paper, while the sources of smearing are analyzed, and proposed measurement method of the smearing time and the relationship between smearing and color breaking/shifting are discussed. It is also recommended in this paper that smearing time could be a more appropriate indicator of moving picture quality for TV application.
