A Study on the Development of Reference Materials and Measurement Standards for Testing of TFT-LCDs
The paper aims to report the latest progress of a newly launched FPD program, which attempts to alleviate the measurement variation of TFT-LCD display characterization. Manufacture of TFT-LCDs is becoming an important industry for north-east Asia, which is a dominating base for production of panels for LCD-TVs. However, the high quality of LCD-TVs is strongly dependent on the testing of LCD panels. Some examples showing the measurement variation of FPD characteristics are illustrated. A brief introduction to the scope of the FPD program and the promotion platform is described. Some preliminary results of the research are also enclosed.
