Theoretic Bounds on Panel Size of Flicker-free Field Sequential Liquid Crystal Displays
The Field sequential liquid crystal display (FSLCDs) technology synthesizes color in the temporal domain. However, the temporal property of human visual perception perceives flickering when the refresh rate is not sufficiently high. To estimate the perceivable flickering on FSLCDs, we conducted visual experiments to characterize the critical flicker fusion frequency for different FSLCD panel sizes.
