The New Process of Measuring Method for Luminance Contrast in Bright Room Condition

摘要：

A new measuring process for luminance contrast under bright-room condition is detailed. Luminance contrast is one of the most important parameters for the visual quality characterization of Flat Panel Displays ( FPDs) . Especially for mobile displays , it should be considered not only to determine the contrast in indoor condition under warm light illumination , but also the contrast in outdoor condition under daylight illumination. Fluorescent lamp illumination measurement and sphereinside diffuse illumination measurement are introduced. And then, we present sphere-outside diffuse illumination measurement. Moreover, to remove the embarrassment of implementing CIE standard illuminants (A, D65) lighting, we put forward spectroradiometric method as a complement to perfect sphere-outside diffuse illumination measurement.
