Color-filterless Time Sequential No-bias-bend LCD

摘要：

Pi-cells are studied as a function of pretilt angles. By making good use of the high pretilt angles, fast response time of pi-cells, No-Bias-Bend LCD has been fabricated. The response time of such 5 μm cell gap LCD is less than 1.8 ms. This fast LCD is used to construct a field sequential color display.
