Full Resolution Autostereoscopic Display Method Based on Fresnel Lens
In this essay, we describe a feasible method for two-view full resolution autostereoscopic display. It employs Fresnel lens as field lens and use improved field sequential method to separate different views. TFT LCD is used as imaging panel. For the purpose of eliminating flicker, tricolor illuminant is used to double the illumination time during which each eye perceives image. As a result, it greatly reduces the flicker. Compared to earlier full resolution solution, our system is cheaper and more flexible. Since there is giant quantity of 2D image and video material, it is important to be compatible of displaying 2D image for a stereo display. Our system has that capacity naturally.
