Electron Field Emissions from Nanostructures
The fabrication and the properties of electron field emissions from a variety of nanostructures , including carbon nanotubes , silicon nanocrystallite films , GaN nanobelts , ZnO and SnO2 nanostructures , and α-Fe2O3 nanowires , have been systematically studied. The experimental results show that nanostructural materials posses excellent field emission properties. Among them, ZnO nanostructures, especially ZnO/MWNT composite nanostructure films have been demonstrated to be the most promising structure as cathode material due to its low turn-on field and threshold field.
