The Electrodes Edge Effect in LCD Cell
The spatial distribution of directors within the LCD cell is calculated by means of solving two-dimensional nonlinear partial differential equations using difference method. We get, in one hand, the spatial distributions of intensity are different from those in the center of the electrode, in other hand, with the same other conditions, but change the width of the electrode , the edge effect of the electrodes in LCD cell to the elements is important, which is based on the spatial distributions of intensity.
