OLED-FPD Interface Implementation on Chip with Random Write-only Memory Mode
This paper presents a novel digital signal interface method and its implementation on chip for OLED Flat panel display (FPD). Based on the mono grey scale driving mode and the random write-only memory access interface, the display panels can achieve more than 256 gray scales effect without brightness loss and data bandwidth increasing by the sub-partition scanning method. The data transfer speed from controller to OLED on chip will be up to 59 MHz in the mode of 640 column × 480 row × 3 color × 256 gray level × 60 Hz.
