Optical Design of DLP Optical Engine Based on LED Light Source

摘要：

In this paper a new DLP Optical Engine based on LED Light Source in the illuminating system for rear projection television (RPTV) is proposed. The prototype employs HD2 + Digital Micromiiror Device (DMD) as the image chip, and the Fly-Lens as the homogeneous elements. The operational principle of the illuminating system is analyzed and the optical design method is discussed. The simulation result is also proposed in this paper. Finally, the prototype is manufactured and the test result is compared to the simulation result.
