Cathodoluminescence Y2O3:Eu(Ce,Tb,Pr)
The effect of some rare-earth elements impurity on Cathodoluminescence Y2O3: Eu light output in a range of accelerating voltages of 0,4 -10 KeV was studied. It was defined, that at voltages less than 1 kV and at the concentration of 10 -6 at/mole the introduction of Cerium(Ce), Terbium(Tb) and Praseodymium(Pr) gives a brightness growth on 2 -5% and at 10 kV and concentration increase, the Europium luminescence suppression is observed. When the content of rare-earth element oxide with the 3 + and 4 + valence more than 5 mole % , solid solutions electrical conductance, caused by variable valence, is grown clearly according to Pr3 +←→ Pr4++ e mechanism.
