High Brightness Light-guide Plate with Truncated Pyramid Microstructures
This paper aims to developtruncated pyramid array fabrication process for high brightness light-guide plate production for the LCD backlighting unit application. It utilizes a concave lens to deflect the incident light in lithography process and controls the exposure dosage in photoresist. Micro-pyramid array in photoresist is then developed onto the light guide plate. Comparing with previous research, a better performance than commercial products is achieved. Optical simulation result from using commercial software TracePro showing the light guide with micro-pyramid array has a better perfonnance than present light-guide plates.
