Synthesis and Luminescent Properties of Sr3Ga2O6:Tb Phosphors by Pechini Method
Sr3Ga2O6: Tb3+ phosphors have been synthesized by Pechini method successfully. The differential scanning calorimetric (TG - DSC analysis and X-ray powder diffraction (XRD) were used to determine the crystallization temperature, and the pure phase phosphors were obtained by calcining the gel at 900℃, The excitation and emission spectra of photoluminescence (PL) were used to characterize the luminescent properties. The excitation spectrum is dominated by the 4f-4f5d transition of Tb3 + at 229 nm. The strong emission peaks for the Sr3Ga2O6: Tb3 + phosphors are 489 and 545 nm based on the 5D4 -7F6 and 5D4 -7F5 transitions. And when the concentration reaches 3% , the concentration quenching will happen.
