Synthesis and Luminescence of BaAl12O19: Mn2+ Phosphor for PDP
BaAl12O19:Mn2 + phosphor was synthesized by high temperature solid-state reaction method , and the effects of Barium concentration and doping content of Magnesium and Strontium on the synthesis mechanism of BaAl12O19:Mn2+ single phase were studied. XRD results showed that impurity phases α-Al2O3 and BaAl2O4 could not be detected when the concentration of Ba was appropriate in Ba1 + xAl12O19 + x, and the doping of Mg could greatly improve the crystallization of the phosphor, and more purer single-phase host could be obtained when Mg and Sr were doped together to the BaAl12O19. After doping with Mg and Sr, the phosphor presented higher luminescent intensity than the sample without doping. Finally , the effects of Mn content on initial intensity of the luminescent material and its property of anti-thermal degradation were also investigated.
