Color Crosstalk Characterization of PDP Displays by Spectroradiometry
Color crosstalk is a special defect of Plasma Display Panel (PDP). In the paper, the causes of the color crosstalk are introduced firstly. Then, a novel method based on the spectroradiometry for color crosstalk characterization is presented. It measures the spectral radiance distribution of red, green and blue horaochromous cells. Next, the spectral radiance distributions of the area which includes enough pixels are measured in die red, green, blue full screen. Several equations for the characterization coefficients can be built. The data in the wavelength ranges which include enough spectrum radiance power for homochromous cells are selected to calculate. These coefficients of crosstalk could be easily got in this way. Then, the experimental results of color crosstalk are analyzed. It is indicated that the spectroradiometric method is an effective method for characterizing color crosstalk.
