2D Hexagonal Lattice Plate Used as the Screen for Large Viewing Angle 3D Hologram Display
A novel type of holographic screen used to display projected 3-dimensional (3D) images with wide viewing anlge is introduced. The screen has hexagonal lattice structure fabricated with holographic technique and pattern recombination method. Experimental results show that when a 3D hologrpahic image is projected on the screen with 12 μm lattice constant, clear image can be seen with 45°horizontal and 30°vertical viewing angles. Both transmission and reflection display of the screen can present bright images. The screen has the potential of being applied for 3D holographic movie display and 3D art exhibition.
