Application of Digital Holography to Sprays
In this study, digital holography is applied to sprays. Two reconstruction methods of digital holography are presented and compared. Influencing parameters are also discussed. And then, the correlation coefficient method is introduced to locate the best focal plane. To record spray holograms, we designed and assembled a synchronization system which has ability of catching double exposure particle images. Using this system, two spray holograms are recorded in a short time interval. After reconstructing each hologram at the best focal planes located by the correlation coefficient method, we can obtain the spatial position of a droplet and get the velocity of it.
