Light Control Method of Polarized Illuminations Using Piled LCD Panels
This paper describes the light modulation methods for polarized illuminations using piled LCD panels. We have developed these modulation methods using dual LCD panels to build stereoscopic 3D display, dual-views display and field-lens 3D display for displaying full-screen left and right images. Our fust proposed method can ever modulate horizontally and vertically oriented linear polarized illuminations. However, each LCD panel cant display a left or right image directly. To solve this problem, we research new modulation method using both linear and circular polarizations.
