Application of the ZVS Zeta Converter in PDP Power Supply
In this paper, a ZVS zeta converter with an asymmetrical PWM control is proposed to achieve the sustain voltage ( VS) in PDP power supply. The operation and steady-state analysis is presented. Using the proposed ZVS zeta converter, a practical VS-generating circuit is given. Three parts of this circuit are described: (1) The control circuit to drive the gates of the switching power MOSFETs. (2) The soft starting function of the converter. (3) The particular sampling and feedback circuits which can accommodate the high voltage output. This topology of the converter has the features of low voltage stress on the switches, zero voltage switching (ZVS), and low component count. The experimental results are proposed to verify the feasibility of the converter.
