Exploratory Investigation of Saccadic Color Breakup Artifacts in 60/180 Hz Field Sequential Color Displays
Color breakup due to saccadic movement of the eye is a major impediment to exploiting the benefits of field sequential color displays. Results are reported for a wide-ranging exploratory investigation of the impact of image characteristics (features, contrast), saccadic viewing modes and viewing ambient environment on saccadic color breakup.
