Luminance contrast measurement of Fpds under daylight ambient condition
Luminance contrast is an important parameter of Flat Panel Displays (FPDs). Especially for mobile displays, it should be considered to determine the luminance contrast under various illumination conditions. Fluorescent lamp illumination, sphere-inside diffuse illumination and sphere-outside diffuse illumination are introduced in this paper. Besides, in order to obtain more accurate measurement results conveniently, a new measuring process based on the spectroradiometric method is introduced. Furthermore, for the measurement of bright-room contrast of displays as OLED with fluorescence emission, a monochromatic illuminating method is detailed.
