The apparent sources determination for leds
The apparent source is a crucial parameter in hazard analysis of light-emitting diodes (LEDs) radiation, especially in the retinal hazard wavelength range from 400nm to 1400nm. Current ocular safety standards associated with the application of LEDs cite the angular subtense of the apparent source as an essential quantity for optical hazard assessment. In this paper, the apparent source of LEDs is detailed, a measurement for three-dimensional apparent source is presented, and test results are discussed.
