Preparation of standard leds based on the generalized model of the functional seasoning
We present how we prepare the standard light-emitting diodes (LEDs), which are provided by Korea Research Institute of Standards and Science (KRISS) as certified reference materials (CRM) for photometric measurements on LEDs. The preparation is based on the functional seasoning, which extracts quantitative information of the aging effect from the temperature dependence of LEDs by simultaneously monitoring the photometric quantity and the junction voltage. We developed a generalized theoretical model of the functional seasoning and experimentally evaluated its validity.
