Technique of reflector design
The goal of the optical design of luminaires is to attain the desired illumination distribution on the target, and four kinds of (circular, elliptical, hyperbolic and parabolic) conic curves are widely used as the reflector profiles to control light beams. However, those standard profiles should be modified and reformed to satisfy the request in practical applications, taking into account the given source, the limited luminaire size, the complex desired light intensity distribution and so on. The design method of deformation is based on theoretical calculation as well as experience and technique. This paper describes the deformation technique of the reflector profile.
