Future trends of energy efficient lighting
Annex 45 - Energy efficient electric lighting for buildings is an international co-operation project on energy-efficient lighting. Currently there are 20 participating and corresponding countries and 37 organisations in the project. One part of Annex 45 was to collect information by interviews and questionnaires about energy and lighting issues from knowledgeable people. According to the interviews the most important development goal for manufacturers is energy efficiency. The payback time for the additional costs of energy efficient lighting should be less than 3 years considered almost half of the respondents. In the future lighting energy efficiency and communication with outside control is increasing.
