Health and well-being effects of high color temperature lighting
The influence of newly developed fluorescent 17000 K lights on human well-being and performance have been investigated, both in office, industrial and clinical settings. Several tests have been done in a range of places and working environments, with and without shift-schedules. The cases being described include studies with office workers and winter depressed patients. Findings open the door for new indoor lighting strategies that support human performance and well-being, addressing the human needs concerning the non-visual, biological effects of light.
