Local daylighting climate research with gis: a proposal
Daylighting climate is hard to describe, because it is always unstable and changes with time, date, and season. Moreover it is different from area to area, just like the climate of different area. So it is necessary to research the local day lighting climate of a relatively small area, more credible data can be obtained.Local day lighting climate research means more numerous data should be collected and disposed, so we choose a powerful tool, GIS, to help us. GIS can storage and manage information related with geographic location. The local daylighting climate data can be gained from the digital cameras connected with GIS, and the software in GIS can processes all the data, as we need automatically. After five years we can get credible data with this system, which should be reliable for the local daylighting design.
