Quantitative assessment method of reflection on glass of show cases

In museums, reflected image causes obstructions in satisfaction level of visitors. From the fact that obstructions are related to the decrease of exhibit visibility and the difficulty in recognition of exhibit, we try to propose the assessment method of visibility, develop assessment method of satisfaction level of appreciation in museums.We pursued to obtain an image to assess the visibility of exhibits from the luminance image. We construct the visibility assessment image from luminance image with wavelet transformation. We tested the quality of visibility assessment method by experiment with subjects. Finally, we proposed assessment method of satisfaction level from correlation between visibility and the satisfaction level given through viewing exhibits.
