Functional visual field in different road scenes
Functional visual fields (FVFs) on three different road scenes, a crowded main street in downtown, a street in a residential area, and a farm-road in a rural area, were experimentally investigated using the images of those scenes projected onto three large screens. Resulted FVF on a crowded main street in downtown becomes slightly narrower than those in other backgrounds, suggesting that visual complexity of road scene affects the drivers FVF.
