A study on the experimental method for landscape lighting of weak contrast in mesopic vision
This paper introduces a kind of experimental method which can revert, simulate and evaluate the scene in the laboratory by researching the landscape lighting of the Chinese classical garden which is a typical scene in mesopic vision. Through experiment observation, computer simulation, and taking into account the environment characteristics, the method relates the quantitative index and the qualitative description by using subjective evaluation in laboratory. Through the statistical analysis of experimental result, it can be seen that the luminance and the luminance ratio will have an important effect on the landscape lighting environment. Through the experimental research, the satisfactory luminance ratio is approximately 2~6, the best ratio is 2~3 in the environments which is similar to the Chinese classical garden.
