Dr. Simon Simos, in charge of the lighting laboratory of the Ecole dlngenieurs de Geneve was appointed by AKTC (Aga Khan Trust for Culture) to carry out the lighting design (only the superstructure for the first phase) of two important Islamic monuments, the Sultan Hassan mosque (dated 14th century) and the EI-Rifai mosque (dated 19th century).
