Including color distortion in color image quality assessment algorithms
Over the years, a number of image quality assessment algorithms are raised, but a lot of them consider luminance component only, although the images tested are color images. This paper focuses on image quality assessment algorithms including color distortion. To evaluate the performance of these algorithms, we carry out a subjective quality assessment experiment. The distortion type is the process of image reproduction from monitor to printer, in which the color matching algorithms will change the color of the image because the size of color gamut is different for the two devices. And the performance of five algorithms is evaluated and analyzed.
