A Program for Mineral Resource Quantitative Prediction and Its Application for Gold Deposits in Xinjiang, China
Predictive algorithms for use in mineral resource quantification have been developed using a mixed-language programming method combining Fortran and Visual Basic. The Mineral Resource Quantitative Prediction (MRQP) software package runs directly under the WINDOWS platform and is not reliant on other software packages such as ARCGIS or ARCINFO. The interactive graphical user interface (GUI) allows users to select options directly from the screen or operate interactive dialogue boxes. The MRQP software has been applied to quantitative prediction in exploration for large and giant gold deposits in Xinjiang.
