3D Vector Cut Interpretation for Normal Fault-Strike Effect
Based on the structural maps of reflectors, 3D data geological body (3DDGB) of arc fault is constructed with structural modeling module of Petro-Modeling. By fault-strike vector cut on the 3DDGB one by one, we consider that because of fault-strike effect some concave reflecting phases maybe are apartment of the arc fault surface, and arc fault surface may cause the thickness on the down-thrown side of normal fault smaller than the up-thrown side, and in the strike sections normal fault line may display like wave, and than the same normal fault may show gap-rolling shape.
